Kosova Trade is one of the few car rental companies in Kosovo that allows cross-border driving with rental vehicles. You can travel to Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro at no extra cost — just inform our staff when booking. Albania is the most popular destination: Tirana is 3 hours away, Durrës and the Albanian Riviera beaches are 4-5 hours. North Macedonia (Skopje 1.5 hours, Ohrid 3 hours) and Montenegro (Podgorica 3.5 hours) are also easily accessible. All our vehicles are insured for cross-border travel with CASCO. You only need your valid driving license, vehicle documents (which we provide), and your passport.

What documents do I need at the border?
Valid driving license, passport, and vehicle documents (registration + insurance) which we provide.
Does CASCO insurance cover me abroad?
Yes, our CASCO insurance covers all three permitted countries.
How far is Tirana from Prishtina?
About 280 km, 3-3.5 hours by car. The road is in good condition, mostly highway.
Can I return the car in another country?
No, the car must be returned in Kosovo at the pickup point. Cross-border drop-off is not available.
How far are Albanian beaches?
Durrës is 4 hours, Vlora 5 hours, Saranda 6 hours. The Albanian Riviera is an excellent summer destination.
Do I need a green card?
No, we include cross-border insurance. You do not need to purchase a green card separately.
